I listened to this song many times while following the lyrics with my eyes. As someone who has moved out of town, I sometimes feel strongly against my parents as an adolescent. Even so, when I meet her for the first time in a while, she welcomes me into her home with a smile. When I meet my local friends, we make fun of them and laugh for the rest of our lives. My parents and friends would see me off with a smile and say, "See you soon!" This song brings back those memories. It made me want to cherish relationships with people, no matter what form they take. No matter when I listen to it, this song will never fade in my mind.

2度目の投稿。ある旅の思い出として
「ホヤ食べると溺れたこと思い出すんですよ…」
居酒屋のカウンター席の並びの青年が厨房の店主に語っていた。
店内はお盆の帰省シーズンで地元の若者等の高っ調子のおしゃべりで賑わっていた。久々の再会に互いの近況を報告し合っているのだろう。
客としては観光を兼ねての一見さんの私達だけが余所者だけれど、お店側の気遣いでけして居心地の悪いものではなかった。
そんな私達に向けて話してでもいるようにカウンターの青年は地元愛についても店主に訴えかけていた。それを店主夫婦が見守るような眼差しで調理の手を動かしながらも頷きながら聞いていた。
あぁ、そうか彼等はあの日を生き延びた子供達なのだと思い至った。仮借ない現実と向き合い（今もなお）生きてきたのだろうと。
この店は帰りたくなる懐のような止まり木のような場所なのだろうと。
翌朝早く港を散歩していると、あの凄絶な災厄を想像するのも難しいほど、ひときわ静かな晴天の下、そよ風でさざ波が立っている海だった。（ちなみに宮城県のある港町）
ライブで「帰ってこいよ」が流れた瞬間、この時の旅の忘れがたい思い出がもっともこの曲にふさわしい情景として甦ってきた。
止まり木という意味ではわいにとってもamazarashiがそのような存在となっている。
