長く疎遠であった母が死期を悟ったのか、亡くなる3ヶ月前にふいに電話をくれた。わいからの赦しを得る為でした。
度し難い虚言癖があり、自己保身の為なら我が子に罪をなすりつける人だった。（帰郷を阻んでいた理由のひとつ）それらに対して気に病んでいたとは夢寐にも思わなかった。
わいからの赦しを得た母のエンドロールを迎えた安堵に満ちた表情を見た時には複雑な思いもあり（実のところ赦していない）宿怨からは容易に解かれないのだと実感を得ただけで…。
自分が終焉を迎える頃には少しは溶解されることを願うばかりです。
