“Village” is a movie that will be released in more than 250 theaters nationwide from April 21st. Set in the closed world of “village”, “Village” is an overwhelmingly realistic depiction of the people who live there, who cannot survive by being pretty. It is a shocking suspense entertainment that uses visual beauty and a worldview to expose the dark side of modern Japan, such as peer pressure, social disparity, poverty, and the distortions in the social structure that make it difficult to climb out of if you take a wrong turn.
This is the third collaboration between amazarashi, Ryusei Yokohama, and director Michito Fujii, and they have been inspired by each other through the movie ``Ao no Kaerimichi'' and the music video for amazarashi 's `` To the Night that Failed to be the Future'' While they had cultivated a special relationship of trust, amazarashi 's Hiromu Akita who saw the movie "Village," was strongly inspired to create a collaboration song, "Swipe."
Akita commented, ``I felt a lot of empathy for the main character, Yu, and I put my feelings into the song about how the unhappiness and sadness in the world are consumed.''
The music video for "Swipe" will be premiered on amazarashi YouTube Channel on April 26th (Wednesday).

▼Movie “Village” work information
A closed world. A closed mind. Eventually, I wake up from my dream. Kamon Village is a Japanese village where the night fog is magical. A huge final disposal site for garbage rises up in the mountains near where the mysterious ``Takigi Noh'' ceremony is held. Yu Katayama, who has lived in Kamon Village since he was a child, works at this facility, which stands out from the beautiful village, but he is living a hopeless life as he is forced to pay off his mother's debts. Yuu, who has lived his life carrying the stigma of an incident that his father once caused in this village, has no choice in life, trying to shoulder the blame. One day, the story takes a big turn when his childhood friend Misaki returns from Tokyo.
